and
I couldn’t choose just one book this week, so there’s a tie for favorite book of the week, between Gladys Goes Out to Lunch by Derek Anderson and The Wolf’s Chicken Stew by Keiko Kasza.
Gladys loves food, but of course she loves bananas most of all. The story is fun, and the illustrations are big, bright and great, featuring all kinds of food. Don’t miss the chocolate moose! The Wolf’s Chicken Stew is one of my all time favorites–a great read aloud, and the kids loved guessing what hundred things the wolf would make next (some guesses–bologna sandwiches, hamburgers, apple pies). Funny moment–one child thought the donuts were cheerios! And without fail, there were eeewwwwws about the one hundred kisses.
I love your blog and I was wondering if you would be able to send me your words for Old MacDonald’s Truck.
Thank you! Yes, I will email the words to you as soon as I can.
