Flannel Friday: Animal Noses

NOTE: Just for fun, absolutely no science here.

This flannel board activity goes well with a nose storytime.  I like to read Arthur’s Nose (actually, somewhere I have a flannel for that story, too) and then do this flannel.

So. They look pretty normal, right?

Now, presto chango:

Just take your standard animal pattern (mine are laminated paper, but felt would work just as well) and lop the nose off:

Play a matching game: which nose goes with which animal? Or, make up a story.  Fun!

*I know that this activity involves the animal’s mouths as well. If I may be so bold to say:  Technicality. Just have fun with this one.
