NOTE: Just for fun, absolutely no science here.
This flannel board activity goes well with a nose storytime. I like to read Arthur’s Nose (actually, somewhere I have a flannel for that story, too) and then do this flannel.
So. They look pretty normal, right?
Now, presto chango:
Just take your standard animal pattern (mine are laminated paper, but felt would work just as well) and lop the nose off:
Play a matching game: which nose goes with which animal? Or, make up a story. Fun!
*I know that this activity involves the animal’s mouths as well. If I may be so bold to say: Technicality. Just have fun with this one.
