Flannel Friday: Dinosaur Stomp

This is a fun little activity that would fit right into a dinosaur or a color storytime.

Someday I will have time to make dressier dinosaurs, but right now these are clip art dinos printed onto colored paper. Quick and easy.

4 dinosaurs standing in a row 

The green one said “I think I’ll go”/And he walked away very slow

Stomp. Stomp. Stomp.  (slooooooowly stomp in place)

3 dinosaurs standing in a row

The yellow one said “I think I’ll go”/And he stomped away very slow

Stomp. Stomp. Stomp.   (slooooooowly stomp in place)

2 dinosaurs standing in a row

The orange one said “What a blast”/And he walked away very fast

StompStompStomp  (stomp quickly in place)

One blue dinosaur standing all alone

He said “What a blast”/And he walked away very fast

StompStompStomp  (stomp quickly in place)

I know this one isn’t really grammatically correct, and that bugs me.  Sometimes I don’t do the “very fast” part because I really don’t like the way “very fast” sounds.  For some odd reason “very slow” sounds a little better. But this is a fun rhyme to do, and the stomping is popular, no matter the speed.
